OpenVision™ DX Digital CUI Scanning System

OpenVision DX is an easy to use, digital x-ray system with live video output for real-time radiographic inspection and reporting. A patent-pending combination of a c-arm mounted 70 kV x-ray source and a digital imager allows you to observe external defects as small as 0.010-inch  (250 μm) on insulated piping.

​​OpenVision DX can be used on various insulation and cladding combinations, including mineral wool and calcium silicate with galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum cladding up to 36 inches (91 cm) in total diameter.

​​OpenVision DX enables the inspection of hundreds of feet (many tens of meters) of insulated piping to quickly identify indications of corrosion or corrosion precursors such as scaling, external wall loss, and wet insulation. Pictures and real-time videos are recorded and downloaded with the touch of a button for rapid review and reporting.

Operating the OpenVision™ DX

Rugged and Reliable

A rugged aluminum and carbon fiber c-arm house a robust metal ceramic x-ray source, integrated controller and battery, and a CMOS imager. Battery life is over three hours of operation. Data is securely stored on the internal hard drive or remote tablet.

Minimize Missed Calls

High resolution live digital video allows operators to minimize missed calls. Direct download of high-resolution images and videos provide quick transfer into reports for rapid reporting.

 

 

Access Tight Spaces

A 30% thinner imager increases access to tight spaces. Difficulty positioning the c-arm? Simply pivot the imager straight out, insert into a narrow space, then reposition at 90 degrees for scanning.

 

Maximize Probability of Detection

New ergonomic features support multiple configurations to facilitate both vertical and horizontal inspections at various heights, enable access to tighter spaces, and lessen operator fatigue.
